How does FRTW Work?
	ò Reacts below 450 degrees á Fahrenheit, which allows the á wood to react automatically á when exposed to a fire, á providing passive protection. ò Fire retardant chemicals react á with combustible gases and tars and converts á them to carbon char as you see in the picture á above. This allows the wood to maintain itÆs á strength longer in a fire ò Fire retardant chemicals release carbon á dioxide and water vapor which dilute the á combustible gasses to help reduce flame á spread.
